spun:

I wonder if spun (a) in the sense of “brothers and sisters, siblings” or “relatives” (e.g. spun mched),  (b) in the sense of “weft” (in weaving), and (c) in the sense of spun pa “moss” are somehow connected. By the way, I feel that spun pa in the sense of “chaff” is secondary and the primary meaning may well be “moss” which looks like threads and hence similar to “weft.” Brothers and sisters or relatives are like “weft” and they are the “fabrics” of a family. And coud have spun be derived from spu?
