g'morning D!I just saw in the Mani Kambum story about the script inventor Thonmi Sambhota that it spells your no. 9. gi-gu, as simply gug. I wonder if gri-gug (cf. your no. 23) might be behind the name of the vowel 'i'. I don't know. What would a diminutive gi- be?? Or would that be a small gig?Your,D
