མཆིག་པ།

= (archaic for) rlig pa “testicle, scrotum.” This is in conform with the rule that the name of a part of the body, if spelled with a prescript, must have a m-prescript. It renders the Sanskrit muṣka (lit. “little mouse” = Mäuschen). It is called skyes pa’i ’bras bu (“male fruit”). It is not to be confused with mchig ma (“pestle”).
